  A lovely stay at Kanyemba Lodge for a wedding in April 2024. Riccardo was a fantastic host for the duration of our stay. The service, food and hospitality were all superb. It was great to have the choice of either relaxing at the lodge or going on an activity ,with plenty of staff available to take you on an excursion at short notice. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

  The lodge was wonderful. It was even better than expected. The price was amazing. There were great wild animals to spot within walking distance. Would definitely stay there again. Great location. My friends and I really loved the character of the lodge. The restaurant they had inside the lodge was fantastic and staff was friendly and helpful. Friendly staff. Clean lodge. Beautiful atmosphere inside and outside around that part of the lodge.

  Incredibly relaxing 3 night stay at Kanyemba, made perfect by the lodge owners & staff. Amazing sunset cruises, comfortable & clean chalets, exceptional pool area. Loved the all inclusive idea for meals and activities, with a candlelit dinner under the stars. Thanks for an amazing experience, definitely returning to Kanyemba!

  Really enjoyed my recent trip to Kanyemba lodge. It’s about 3 hours from Lusaka (and a 15 min boat ride) and 2 nights was perfect for us to feel like we ‘got away’ without getting bored. The service was impeccable and the guides knowledgeable and professional - arguably the best part of our stay. The food was simple but healthy and enjoyable, and they catered well to dietary requirements like vegetarian and gluten or onion free. The rooms were lovely and something special. We saw elephants, hippos, crocodiles, water bucks, buffalo and even a lion during the sunset cruise and walking safari. Would definitely come back and/or recommend to friends for a 2 or 3-night stay.

  My friend got attacked by a hippo on the 9th of April just after breakfast under the custody of this lodge whilst canoeing. They did not provide a safety boat or take into consideration the safety guidelines. in addition to that, the lodge owner never reported the attack to the warden/ authority within that jurisdiction thereby putting other water users/ local fishermen, visiting guests in other neighboring lodges at risk. To this day my friend is still undergoing treatment and surgery due to the carelessness and recklessness of the lodge. They have also never checked up on her. I therefore urge all tourists to be careful when they book such activities with this lodge. It is unacceptable to be so reckless when it comes to human lives. Besides in previous experiences the owner does not welcome black Zambians therefore comrades kindly watch out. I urge the Ministry of Tourism and the Zambia Wildlife Authority to kindly look into this case and investigate Kanyemba Lodge.
