  This is a truly magical way to experience the Zambezi river and all the interesting things in the area. The lodge itself is absolutely excellent, the rooms are luxurious and beyond excellent, staff are so incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and willing to aid and add to your experience. Franklin is a great leader there and makes sure you know what’s happening with transfers and any activities on the day. We booked our stay here and white river rafting plus other activities via Royal Ngala Safaris (Cameron Scott) and highly recommend them to anyone from Europe, USA or Africa. He’s just incredible. It must be said if you there. You have to do the white river rafting. It’s totally safe and just an experience you can’t miss if you there.

  The most amazing, beautiful and relaxing lodge we had experienced as family. A place to stay, explore, relax, be amused and surprised by entertaining visits from monkeys, Impalas, elephants and more. A real treat. The service is impeccable!

  What an amazing place. From our room and the main lodge alone, we watched as hippos, elephants, and monkeys roamed about the property and the amazing view of the river. The staff were wonderful and all of the tours we went on were incredible. I hope we can return soon and highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Victoria Falls region.

  This is luxury at its best but in keeping with our quest to view wildlife. The rooms, meals, and service were fantastic. Wildlife viewing was exceptional. At night elephants, hippos, and monkeys would saunter into the compound. The view of the river was fantastic. I highly recommend Thorntree River Lodge. Thank you to the hosts and staff for making my first African visit that was far above and beyond my wildest dreams.
