::Excellent service and customer oriented. Nice low-key vibe and rooms are very well done with Zambian furniture...a refreshing break from the usual cheap, glitzy plastic one gets in urban lodges... The only downside is the lights... floodlights, spotlights, garden lights, porch lights... all conspire against a natural nights sleep. So bring your own curtains... For tourists coming to see the lake's fish diversity: the snorkelling is good, with the beach consisting of large cobbles giving sheltet to colourful cichlids like Tropheus, Eretmodus, Lamprologus and many others. Its also worth checking under the larger stones for cute pygmy catfish (often cohabiting with crabs), and there's also many spiny eel. Just inquire about any recent crocodile or hippo movements before swimming.

::What I really love about this place is the intimacy the Lake Tanganyika Resort has to offer. It is small and modest but with a beautifully designed interior: The usage of local and honest materials such as wood, stones, metal and concrete is what I like. However, the Lake Tanganyika Resort is still a "work in progress". They are developping the place. I rekon, in a few years the place will find it's final form. Another thing they might work on are the moskitos in the bedrooms. There are moskito nets, however, an insectizide treatment before a guest moves in, might not be a bad idea. I appreciate the personal touch and the direct line to the manager, Napanje. She did good work and I will for sure be there again. It will be my secret weekend retreat. 06.01.2023 - Amendment: I would call myself a regular now. Issues with the mosquitoes have been solved. ACs are installed in the room and working. Food is great. Order in advance. Drinks are sometimes a bit short. Napanji can help you organize small activities (e.g., a boat trip).

::It's absolutely beautiful. Giving you the best get away with sea like views in Central Africa. The Blue Lake Tanganyika water is mesmerizing and the staff are so knowledgeable with great hospitality. Landing through Mbala Airport and then taking a 40 km drive to Mpulungu is the easiest way to get there

::It's such an awesome place with a lot of comfort. It also offers the best view of the sunset. The services are great and the employees are friendly and welcoming. It's definitely a place to visit whilst in Mpulungu.

::cool place itself. clean, well done, amazing location. food is bad, only salad is ok and chicken sometimes. I’ve spent there 4 nights. landscapes and sunsets are 5 *. and nearby village Mpulungu is also nice. but this place need management. the owner is in Lusaka, manager was assent. so guys from stuff all the time speaks loudly to each other, or listening music in their phones. I paid $ 28 a night for quietness and relax. and other stuff, it’s not much professional, but it’s not their fault, but the owner and manager, they just didn’t tell and teach employees. so up to it all it’s overpriced to my mind. also there is one neighbors who always listening music loudly, from other side fishers houses, who make noise.
