  As someone who's a little bit impatient, I find this branch to be very convenient. The staff is very welcoming and sometimes would crack a joke or two while transacting. I always have a salad with my meals and I enjoy the ones at this particular branch. Wish more hungry lion branches could be like this one.

  While the place is usually packed with customers, the staff are quite efficient in clearing the queues with courtesy. The food is always well prepared.

  Hungry Lion has multiple restaurants doted around the country. Lusaka City has the most of these. They all serve the same thing; fried chicken and sides to make a meal. You can choose between Chilli and no Chilli. They have a selection of drinks as well which are reasonably priced. One of the few restaurants you can go to to buy a drink and not be ripped off. Depending on where the outlest is, your experience changes ever so slightly. But the food, the food never changes. It's great of you love this chicken (and I do), but not so good if you crave variety. This particular Hingry Lion is located at East Park mall so, mall parking is plenty. Also, plenty of competition along side. As of writing this review, a pizza place next door burger joint a shop away, and restaurants with more variety (proper restaurants) close by. What Hungry Lion does best, is price. The value for money you get here is only beaten by a super market. Also, their chicken is awesome. It's a clean establishment. Has music through speakers. Service time is average. 10-15 minutes tops even at peak times.

  The food was okay tho I encountered a couple problems... Firstly the speed service was a little slower than mentioned. Ordered a twelve piece meal and and it was great, unfortunately two pieces were missing. Lads and I couldn't go back to file a complaint because by the time we realized the pieces weren't enough, we were almost done eating. The other issue is when you want to change your order, you can't pay using a card, you have to withdraw and pay cash, which is a little odd. Otherwise, everything else was okay.

  Their prices are reasonable and Chicken is tasty. Busy especially during lunch and evenings. Recommend that they introduce microphones at their checkouts because at times you would hardly hear your order number called out especially when its busy and crowded. You have to crowd up at the pick up point to hear it. So microphones would be convenient so that u can wait for your order number even when seated anywhere in the hungry lion shop coz it takes 10 to 20 minutes standing and waiting for your order to be called out on the counter which can be exhausting at times
