  Only 3 stars because it is still under development. Once fully developed, it will be a stunning place to go to. Has a few picnic benches overlooking the dam and a braai area too. The grass is well kept and there is an ablution block there so cleanliness is assured. Please keep it litter free...it's so beautiful

  Needed a last minute change of scenery, this is definitely what the doctor ordered. Staff are amazing! Friendly, extremely helpful but without being in your space. Camping facilities are plentiful, very clean and hot water!! That's a huge bonus! Fishing on the dam is a whole experience of its own, popular, great spits to choose from and a variety of fish to catch. Less than an hour from Lusaka it's a great place to go for some R&R.

  The Shambololo Lodge recreation area by the dam caters to those wanting a nice relaxing space to kick back and do a bit of BBQing, fishing or bird and game viewing. It's location is close to Lusaka and a day trip is very doable to get a little piece and quiet away from the hectic city. Definitely recommended if one lives in Lusaka or is spending a few days in the city.

  Great getaway if you live in Lusaka. Awesome MTB trails, fishing and walks. Well organised camp site next to the dam with hot water showers and clean loos.

  Great place for family day out, fishing, camping, trekking, biking, birding, and various other. Just Laze around , take your own drinks, camping equipment, Braaiing, Reading, and so many other relaxed activities. Lovely scenery and a vast dam. I have gone there 6 times so far. Best value for your money and located close to Lusaka. Enjoy!!!😊😊😊
