  After the rocky and sandy long trek which you need to take to get there, you find out that it's a boat and that's about that's special about it. Rooms are disappointing, lounge looks good though. Smells ancient inside. Also, I don't get why I'd live on a boat that never moves. I mean, I should at least get a cruise right? The restaurant is so sad. It really has no variety of food. Jeez, okay the restaurant is bad, really needs to be improved.

  Excellent views, we took the presidential suite and it was excellent, the service was magnificent. Best breakfast I have had at any resort. However there is need for enhanced security as the parking area is several meters away from the boat and as such you do well to have a vehicle with an alarm system. Take a relatively bigger vehicle as access roads are not in great condition. Not many channels for viewing but numerous card and board games in the lobby.

  This is a rip off I don't know about when it runs but it is a horrible place to be the rooms are not up to scratch and needs a renovation their bar while stocked has (whiskey) fake liquor complete knock offs at premium prices the staff are confused for the most part the food is not up to scratch for a place with the protea logo I would very much advise for protea to renovate the place it could be beautiful but is truely not

  The lodge is simply amazing so unique mounted on water ideal and just perfect for honey moons and holidays. Excellent rooms with high standard and affordable rates. Great hospitality and delicious meals .Awesome management with ready plans for boat for boat cruise .

  My sister and I were looking forward to visiting the Southern Belle on Sunday 03 February. When we arrived at the location we were disappointed to discover that the access was almost impossible and not 'elderly friendly'. Both sets of concrete steps down to the Southern Belle had nothing to hold on to and even if we had managed to descend the steps we would have been met with boulders and rocks to try to dodge on the beach. Please, please, make the access to the boat easier so that we can visit when we are next in Siavonga at the beginning of March. Thank you
