  They have fresh veggies, bread, beef and other groceries are readily available.

  The most friendly supermarket. Going there feels like going home. Plus, the fresh produce section supports small fresh produce farmers. Well stocked, but dinner rolls are my favorite.

  Always a good stop to make to get almost everything. Very helpful staff and a constant supply of fresh fruit and vegetables always on hand. They now stock a few more exotic items that you can only get from the UK eg proper Nutella, Kelloggs variants (not your usual, boring supply of cornflakes that most supermarkets stock). Of course some lines being imported special will cost a bit more but they are worth it

  Local (Greek-Cypriot) family owned supermarket that has been around for 30+ years in Lusaka, even after it burnt down several years ago. For a long time you could find just in Melisa various products that was not easily found anywhere else in Lusaka, but today with a lot of newly open shops it's not any more the case. For me, strangely, the place is somehow having an old feel like from 80s of last century or like I went back in time shopping wise. Unfortunately, they do not have any frozen cakes/deserts. Also, whenever I need something specific they don't have it (for example, horse radish sauce, polenta, specific coffee, etc) but it is usually the case with the most of the shops in Zambia (it seems, most of them order items in small quantities and if you don't buy it immediately, you need to wait for a new shipment or order some/a lot of time).

  This supermarket has been around for years. Suffered a tragedy but rose from the Ashes only to become better than before. I enjoy the customer service and I have always been in love with their bread from the bakery 😍. Their prices are reasonable and alcoholic beverages are surprisingly affordable. The meat from the butchery is amazingly good. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh. This place has stood the test of time and still I have a good shopping experience whenever I pass through.
