  Deeply disappointed with this hotel which is overpriced and doesn't come up to the standards you expect for a 5* hotel. While the service from staff was polite, the infrastructure is crumbling and I suffered multiple problems: firstly with my electronic key not working multiple times ("a problem with the system, Sir"), then with only half a menu available in the restaurant ("we're redoing it, Sir"), then with the lightbulb in the bathroom literally exploding and almost catching on fire at midnight ("a short circuit, Sir"). They changed my room, but then there was no mains power in the new room meaning I couldn't charge my phone before an intercontinental flight the next day ("there was a switch to turn everything on, Sir, but it's not easy to find"). When I complained about the crumbling infrastructure, I was simply told there's a renovation programme and they're aware of the problems. If that's the case, then how on earth can they justify the extortionate nightly rates? I didn't even get a discount for all the hassle. Overall a shabby experience - this place clearly needs a thorough overhaul.

  Nice hotel. The experience from airport pick up, check in up to check out was really top class. The staff were courteous and effecient, but hey, this is the The Intercontinental Hotel. Will definitely be back there soon, God willing.

  Substantial decline in the amenities and general upkeep. Rooms were dirty and ill kept

  Great hotel and always a pleasure visiting here. The standards are high and the levels of service always good. They do look after their IHG rewards member and one feels very special. They offer free Hotel shuttles to and from the airport if advised on booking your stay upfront. Give us I try on your next visit to Lusaka, Zambia 🇿🇲
